Dorothy Stewart is a hand weaver from Lockerbie in south west Scotland. She took up weaving when she retired from the NHS some 25 years ago. Nowadays, she only weaves very small numbers of unique scarves and has created an exclusive selection of bamboo scarves especially for this guest spot. Bamboo has become a favourite yarn to weave with as it is very sustainable andhas proved popular with people. she enjoys weaving with fine yarns even although it makes the weaving process much longer !
