Irene Hume is a true Borderer, growing up in Kelso and now living and working in St Boswells in the Scottish Borders.
She was taught to knit by her mum when still a youngster and her love of knitting has continued over the years. She produces a varied selection of beautiful hand knitted items mainly for babies – shawls in 2 ply, blankets for cots and prams in various yarns, and jackets and jumpers for 0-6 months and 6-12 months. Her babysets are presented in gift boxes with tissue and ribbon trim – the perfect gift for a new mum.
She also knits socks for ladies and gents using the traditional 4 needles method and produces a range of adult scarves, snoods and hats.
